How will Delhi lockdown help if Punjab is burning stubble

Punjab is burning stubble but Supreme Court wants Delhi to lockdown. Judges want lacs of workers, rickshaw wallas, daily wage earners who survive on daily income to suffer because the inefficient, clueless & irrational systems of judiciary & governments didn't work. Such a pity! more

feel sorry for SC for its decision for saying stubble burning adds only 10% to total pollution in Delhi. Sorry for Delhi public as they suffer in hands of SC, Politicians more
The probable cause of air pollution Delhi are 1.slow speed of wind as this increase it carryout pollutant 2.vehicles and specially unmaintained one 3. Pollution from thermal power stations using coal industries within Delhi using oil or coal fired furnaces and located near or with in urban populations . 4. stubble burning from neighboring states which normally begins from October till end November or up to early December. These fact already established from satellite picture and all sates including Haryana ,Punjab others are contributing enhancement of pollution to grate level. 5. Generators , burning of wood leaves for warmingup, brooming of road for cleaning construction work etc also contributed . Irony is as an administrative measure we only talk about cracker ban on Dewali and banning for small contributory factors and felt that situation taken care. But its a time to look seriously , study the factors why only in Oct to Nov period AQI become worst , arrived in terms for % of each cause contributing in AIQ to raise . more
Sir, there was an article which I read a long time ago which talked of Multinationals like Pepsi and Coca Cola encouraging Punjab and Haryana farmers to change their crop life cycle. Earlier the stubble would have to be dealt with during summer or rainy months, however due to change in crop cycle, the stubble needs to be dealt with in Winter months which leads to severe pollution. This issue has to be seriously tackled with by Central and State Govts after taking farmers into confidence. Else we will die our own death in the hands of our "Anndaatas". more
Milords coming up with cockeyed solutions as usual. Punish the victim(Delhi) instead of the criminal(Punjab) more
more
Yes the matter ends there. But what about the loss to school children? more
Ms. Jayani Gupta & Mr. Padam Law.....I agree with you in toto. Lakhs a cases are pending the Supreme Court but the judges wants to tax Delhi only. This will happen every year for the people of Delhi. Nobody wants to talk about Haryana and Punjab about stubble burning. Learned Readers.....Please be informed that Delhi doesn't have its own weather. It is all governed by the neighboring States. more
