Mr. Raja Chandra, it is not advisable to leave the medicine immediately rather it can be left in transition and after stability and instructions of the doctor. Yog/ayureved doctor can be consulted in this regard. One such reference I had given in my previous comments. more
I have this problem of High TSH. I was suppose to take Tyronorm 100mcg daily. I left it depending on life style, diet and Yoga etc. It boomeranged. I had to restart. I have been told by the Senior Consultant of Endocrinology not to ever leave the medicine which is to be taken life long daily. I am 83 +. I will now follow the advice as a Religion. more

Yes you can get benefit by diet/lifestyle changes. Yog/pranayam along with diet management and some ayurvedic medication will definitely help. Right away you can start yog. Consult some good ayurvedic doctor also. There is one very good Dr. Rahul Sharma at Jammu. If you so like you can contact him at his phone no. 09419167754 and you may have to follow his instruction in to-to. Good luck. more
Vijaya and Kanchan Well Hyperthyroidism is a type of thyroid disorder. It is defined as having too much thyroid hormone and is sometimes called "overactive thyroid." It involves acceleration of body functions, and symptoms include increased heart rate, anxiety, weight loss, difficulty sleeping, tremors in the hands, weakness, and sometimes diarrhea. Treatment for the above thyroid disease depends on the cause, severity of symptoms, and the levels of hormone production. Therapy for disorders that cause hyperthyroidism may involve radioactive iodine (to destroy part or all of the thyroid to stop excess production), anti-thyroid drugs, or surgery to remove the thyroid. Life style changes help but are not the treatment of choice. Need more details ???? Regards Dr Gandhi more
