Yes, the officer should travel like a common commuter to understand / eliminate real problem. Refer today's news in lokmat paper in Maharashtra Gujrat border. A commissioner Mahesh Zagade, travelled by truck, with body guards as cleaner on Octroi check post and fount all the irregularities himself. Every truck owner was paying 300-500 per truck in cash for passing the checkpost, amounts to 5.5 Crore monthly. I am sure he will take all necessary action to curb the corruption. This officer is strict in his action. Have done similar tacts in revenue & other departments of MS govt. He is a hero of general public and villain for corrupt officers. Such dynamic action is expected in railways to eliminate all dis orders. Thanks more

As a routine higher officials must take stock of the situation without giving prior information of their visit. Then only they will be able to see the real time preparedness, and service condition. more

Sir, it is correct to hide the identity to know the facts as a common man. But whena the official is travelling with a group of officers surrounded and in a special coach and also giving prior information to all that the officer is coming, will it serve the purpose? more
