I am 57 years old and have been diagnosed with mild sleep disorder by recent sleep study. I used to take rivotril 0.5 mg since last 5-6 years. Now Doctor has told me to stop sleep medicine and given me a daily routine of good sleep practice alongwith a machine for supplying oxygen for 1 week trial basis. So far it has been only 2 days without medicine but I am unable to get a good sleep which I used to have with medicine. So far not used the CPAP oxygen supplying equipment but when used for sleep test i found very inconvenient and did not induce sleep. My sleep apnea hypopnea (AHI) index is 11.6 with heavy snoring as per sleep study result. Please advise what I shall do as I am finding myself in irritating condition after stopping sleep medicine for 2 days. more
