I am a technical consultant and service provider under proprietor firm .....I have done my GSTIN voluntarily even though my turnover is less than 20 lacs,with a view, I need to give services out of state, then I should not loose 18% GST input credit.
I am also a mutual fund distributor, where commission being received is even less than 10 lacs.
Do I need to register for this separately,to avail input tax credit? Or the same GSTIN no for proprietor firm can be extended? If yes, then can somebody guide me to infirm the procedure to do so. more

Do you provide service out of the State by visiting those places and if yes, what is the duration. When you provide inter-State services your are required to be registered and pay GST irrespective of your turnover. You need single GST registration for all your businesses in a State. Please use same GSTIN for both your businesses wherever you need to provide your number for procurement of input services to facilitate credit of GST into your account. more

Mr Mangesh if you are providing services out of your State then you need GST registration irrespective of your turnover. You are Technical Consultant and Mutual Fund distributor, in this situation only one GST registration is sufficient if the place of both businesses are same and if place of businesses are different then it's depend upon you either take one GST registration with declaring other place as business vertical or get separate GST registration for both the places with same PAN.
