Thanks Dr Saumya. more
An examination can add volumes to your opinion. My concern was regarding the fact that you had increased pain on movement, especially weight bearing. That may have raised the possibility of "rotator cuff tear" where further exercise may have hurt you, and can be confirmed by MRI. since you are feeling better, stick to it :) more
Initially I consulted a orthopedic surgeon. Got the X-ray of shoulder done. Dr checked arm movements. He only concluded this. No other test done. Later physio checked for shoulder+ neck muscles and movements and confirmed as frozen shoulder. Yesterday, afetr therapy, i felt good improvement in back side movement of arm. Thanks for valuable suggestions Dr Manocha, Dr Saxena and Dr Mittal. Regards. more
In view of the fact that you have been on the physiotherapy with not so much benefit, and with the pain increasing while exercising, it may be better to make sure that other possibilities are ruled out, like rotator cuff trauma. I am not sure how you were diagnosed to have frozen shoulder, was a test done? more
The treatment for frozen shoulder is only and only physiotherapy besides the painkillers. The exercises you are currently doing are helping in increasing the range of movement of your shoulder. Add to this some strength training exercises with low weights of 1-2 Kgs Every alternate day. more
