I am trying to understand the business model of One Assist Consumer Solutions Pvt. Ltd. as it is not clear anything from their website. The complaints suggest that they are making money in the name of the insurance against theft, accidental damage of mobiles, wallets etc. However what I could make out is the company might be a repair shop or some agency but the money is being taken in the name of insurance. I purchased Amazon Fire TV, a small gadget to convert my HD TV into a smart TV. I received a One Assist subscription free with the purchase. It seems like a breakdown or theft insurance. I too am not clear about their services. more

I am not aware of this company and so have not availed of their services. However my feeling is that such financial transactions should be done through the respective banks only. I do not see any special advantage going through them. It can only be some disadvantage. For example, it will be required to share the bank account / credit or debit card details with this company. It is not be advisable, if not foolish, to share such details with anyone. I will never do it. On the other hands, banks periodically advise not to share such details with anyone. more
