I had predicted BJP's loss in bye elections

I had written this on August 12.
If Delhi elections were held immediately after Modi government was formed, BJP would have won hands down. I can not imagine what prevented them from going to election then. Now there is widespread dissappointment with Modi government. Results is Uttarakhand bye elections showed this. My feeling is that BJP will lose heavily in the bye elections in Bihar & elsewhere. Also they will loose all assembly election later this year.
Reasons for this are: 1) Failure to control inflation. 2) Steep fare hikes in railways. 3) Utter nonsense being spoken by some of their leaders and sangh pariwar. This is totally un-necessary. 4) People do not see any difference between this govt. and MMS govt. in Pak and China policy. Daily border violations have become routine affair. 5) Rape and murder cases are increaing day by day and thr govt. is watching silently. 6) They made tall promises of "Acche din" and can not cope up with the expectations of the people. Politicians in power who offer Free Food or Rice @ 2/- per kg or free TV and all the free goodies are CRIMINALS. They are ruining our country and countrymen and making them Haramkhor !!! more
I disagree with you! The loss is very temporary affair. I believe, the government is committed to a drastic change for better and started with top-down approach unlike populist measures like offering Rice for Rs.2/- , free water, free TV etc. Country development from all dimensions is the key. If you look at the pro-development policy changes made at the central level and concrete efforts made in attracting investments which ultimately benefit the common citizen to large extent. But, it takes some time to realize the benefits at the ground level. State assembly elections do not really affect the growth trajectory of India! Indeed, nobody can stop it now!! more
problem with our politicians is, they want power and chair, and how they will meant money, what they spent during election. they are least bother about the progress of the country, they are very much interested in their progress. more
BJP lost one more round of bye elections. What is in store in Haryana/Maharashtra? more
Yes I fully agree with Mr.Kamath.BJP in Karnataka lost power because of irresponsible statements from CM,Ministers,MLAs and Sangh Parivar volanteers attack on women in a pub.Corruption was the last straw though it was comparatively less compared to Congress Govt.People had great expectations from Modiji. But the relief had not come from rising prices,no logical conclusions did come at least some corruption/black money cases.Instead,Railway fare was hiked but people do not think that it was unavoidable.Over and above, irresponsible statements from Ministers,MPs,Sangh Parivar, open intervention from RSS have tarnished Modi Govts image. How ever, bye elections do not effect Modi Govt. But it became a morale booster to devastated opposition and to launch a combined attack.Modijis silence on offending acts and statements too had counted. This is to be taken as a caution to rectify the mistakes. more
