I have few querries in my mind regarding formation of new blood in the body, which I personally feel may help in lessening of LDL in blood : 1. Do blood donation lessens the thickness of blood in body by causing new blood formation? 2. Can a heart patient, who is under medicine after installation of stent in the LVA, donate blood? As I asked a Doctor, who denied for the same as such patient is consuming the blood thinning medicines. IF Yes, can it be an alternate method to get rid of accumulation of LDL in blood resulting in its thickness. Thanks

Heart Patient on Medicine cannot donate Blood & Blood donation does not reduce LDL,Once you start allopathic medicine for reducing LDL you will have to continue them life long,one should go for naturopathy- 1-Drink 6to8 glasses of water daily 2-Eat 5 to 7 Almond daily (In summer soak them in water in night & peel of eat in the morning) 3- Start your day with fresh fruits and grains such as oats that are high in soluble fiber. 4-Minimize consumption of animal products including dairy products. Such patients should take Statins (latest being Rosuvastatin) to reduce LDL as per medical reports and doctor's advice. Blood donation by patient will not help in reducing LDL. more
