I m past president of a Rotary club in Delhi. We have already collected 1000 units of blood in 5 months. organised few free check up camps and provided free cataract surgeries and spects. We got one child operated free of cost who had a hole in his heart. Our club keeps on taking similar service projects. One can join us for any such project. more

I am DMS ESI hospital Okhla.Since nov 1996 I started searching for larvae/breeding sites of mosquitoes.I got success after success & found many breeding sites.Logically ,if there is a mosquito it is breeding some where.I n winter breeding does not stop.It only reduces .If we find these few places & eradicate them ,there will be no mosquito in other months.Today morning I surveyed out skirts of Batla house in south delhi near Yamuna & with in 1/2 hour of my search I could find the root cause/breeding place. It was under the lush green big leaves of jal kumbi in a pond of water on out skirt of Batla house area.If these jalkumbis are removed there will be no mosquito in this area.It shall cost a very negligible amount but what a relief,no mosquito in the area for ever.It is very difficult for any one to agree to my this point of view ,but believe me it is true.If we leave one breeding site in December/Jannuary,it will give rise to several in February, march & numerous in rainy season. This is the time to act ,to detect the few breeding sites & finish them for permanent cure from mosquitoes. All mosquitoes come out of the breeding sites in the evening.Mosquitoes breed in the hidden water as they breed in the day & in day they by there habbit hide in dark places. If they find water in dark places they multiply.I t is not difficult to find out their breeding places. So mosquitoes can be eradicated & must be because to give the poor a sound sleep is the biggest donation/service to the nation.
