I request the officials who involved in designing the IRCTC Web pages that the passenger shall have freedom to know which berth he is going to get before making payment. Generally passenger prefers to travel whatever the seat he got when situation demands. Otherwise they postpone the journey. Please do the needful and make arrangements. more

This will be very helpful. If we can do this in Buses and Airplanes, it should be possible to do it in trains also. IRCTC can easily implement it. But the problem will be the huge storage space required, that too after changes in advance booking to 120 days. more
