I travel very frequently by railways and always undertake the journey only after confirmed booking. For booking I did use the mobile app for about 2 years.. but now facing issues since the launch of the new version by IRCTC in Nov.2016 and not been able to book through mobile app any more. Neither IRCTC nor my banker (I use ICICI debit card for online payment) cpuld resolve the issue.. I did try the app more than a couple of times by uninstalling and again installing it but it didn't work. It's so disgusting.

Now coming to the main issue.. During this month when I tried to book a ticket online 7th time it said "booking not allowed" because I had exceeded the limit of 6 bookings. When I raised this issue with IRCTC through their feedback system, came the blunt reply..'kindly note that individual users can make only six transactions in amonth'
This means that I am alloed to book only for three (considering to and fro) journeys..!!
This is simply ridiculous..!! why this limit when I (or for that matter others from my family) are required to undertake more than 3 (to and fro) journeys in a month..??
Due this limit I had no option than to use other's log in ID and pass word for booking my tickets..!! more

Endless bookings should be allowed as long as the same is in the name of the registered person or he is a co-passenger in the family list of passengers. more  
Individuals should be permitted any number of tickets and the agencies should have restriction. more  
Quite true sir, These days irctc site is very slow. It took almost 4/5 hours to get the reservation done online. Conditions need to be made better. Railway Safety funds must be properly utilized. Huge outlay for Railways should result in positive income. Time implementation of projects is of utmost importance. THANKS A LOT AND ENSURE THAT PRUDENT PLANNING IS DONE TO PREPARE PROJECTS TO AVOID MESS. CORRUPTION IN THE PROCESS OF TENDERS TO ULTIMATE IMPLEMTNATION OF PROJECTS MUST BE CLOSELY MONITORED. Limit of 6 tickets is not a solution. Instead ask for a aadhar number for each (imp EACH) ticket. So दलाल Issues get solved completely and will not requires the limit of 6 tickets. more
