Our Howrah division has come up with innovative bollywood based messages on cleanliness of platforms. 4 of those messages are available in attached pictures. For all Super fast trains, the average speed could be increased 30% more, so that the journey time is reduced by at least 20% more  
Passengers are coming to the platform to board the train. Advertisement does not encourage cleanliness. The amount spent in advertisement can be utilised for other productive purpose. more  
I agree with Mukund Bapat. RAILWAYS must take a holistic view of facilities at each Station based on traffic. This will go long way in creating a clean environment. more  
Sir being an Engineer I have observed that quality of construction of railway plate forms is very poor. The slabs at the edges are laid uneven and tilt with weight front and back according to load on them and no one bothers to set right them. These may lead to accidents.
