Implementation of RERA in India

Its is great to know that RERA is being implemented . One of my observation is that builders are extending the original commitments if the properties were booked prior to RERA declaration. Also builders take 25% of amount as part of booking amount and do not construct the building for long and then wait till project reached into critical path of delivery for starting the construction. The customers are not provided with the regular status of construction progress . This makes customers very uneasy for the investment carried out by them.

This must be regulated and the builders are shall share the with milestones construction plan and establish teh confidence level. more

Rera is good as protecting the end user consumer . But it should also control the MCGM , MAHADA etc corrupt officials who eat away huge funds from developer / builder for the approvals unofficially so the projects becomes nonvialable . in rere there must be column for bribing with names , how much times , departments etc then only corruption will reduce & property rates will come down . more
The fruits of RERA will come in due course and atleast there will be brake to their evil design. more
I AGREE WITH Mr S.K.VIRAMANI SIR, THAT THE INTEREST OF A CONSUMER,(BIG OR SMALL) NEEDS TO BE PROTECTED. TRANSPARENCY IN ALL TRANSACTIONS BY EVERY ONE WILL BE THE PATH TO ERADICATE CORRUPTION IN REAL ESTATE. RUNNING LORRIES IN BENAMI NAME, HAVING NATIONAL PERMIT, BY SOME VERY POWERFUL PERSONS IN TAMIL NADU IS THE MAJOR CAUSE FOR MANAL KOLLAI. CAN THE CENTRAL GOVERNMENT STOP THIS AND PROVIDE JUSTICE TO ALL CITIZENS OF TAMILNADU? more
RERA is a good initiative and all State governments should implement it without delay. The Regulator is mandated to safeguard the interest of the 'public'. It is generally implied [particularly in North India] that the Builder is the villain. A just regulator must safeguard everybody's interests, including builders. The proposed Act does not hold the Government accountable for any irregularities. The fact is that often the builders suffer for the mistakes of the Governments and in turn make the public pay for them. We should take an objective view of the situation so that no one suffers. more
That is what the game Government plays. Remember one thing, builder is a easy access for cash availability for any Political Party and Person. Sir our democracy is the most funniest democracy. We enjoy democracy only on the day of voting. There after who cares? Try to meet concerned minister, will you be able meet him or her? Not at all. So Mughals, British, Portuguese went and our own mix blood people are ruling on us and torturing like hell on earth. RERA act was initially must have designed by a corrupt person who is favouring builders. Simply builder made a draft and produced it to the so called efficient person. Later on lot of noise from public the draft corrected , but not yet adequate to protect consumers. Now builder's association is gone on appeal against RERA. Under such circumstances do yo think a person will get the possession for next 2/3 years? Builder and Government activities goes hand in hand to satisfy their own needs. RERA should be more strict against the builder so that prices, money of consumers. Law and orders etc will be protected. Otherwise next generation will become more corrupt and possibility they will become nexalite, cant say. This is called as " Yatha Raja Tatha Praja". And one more important logic and science behind ruling on any country is" Jiska Raja Bepari, uski praja Bhikari" that means, Businessman Kings People ( Praja) will be always Begger. more
