Customs duty has been removed on most oxygen equipment and now u can import and comply with legal metrology stuff later. Attached notification

I feel we should keep raising these issues on LocalCircles. I think many of the senior officials of GOI are in here in personal capacity and hence that is why many things written here see action fast. more

Oxygen may be available in the market, but availability near the patient at the time of need is important. more
It is high time we gear up and industries should be given sops to manufacturer those items at the earlierst instead of importing to save valuable foreign exchange. I do not think it is difficult to do it and govt should give sops to them more
Best remedy is to perform yoga and asanas and keep the lungs free of carbon dioxide. Always gargle salted and termeric hot water and Steam inhalation every day . Most of government or private hospitals don't have audit system of all fittings including cleanliness, staff efficiency etc. Oxygen concentrator, ventilators, oxygenated bed are inadequate due to sudden surge in infection. One should adhere covid protocol and become a responsible person and save his family. more
We should be careful in import of equipment as against import of consumables or raw material. Equipment requires trained mechanics to operate and maintain. Spare parts and consumables such as filters. Further power supply must be 220V and the plug types must match the sockets. Equipment is a complicated matter. Make haste slowly. more
it good to see Govt officials are out of hibernation . Planning is very important by understanding the unforeseen disaster/calamities. The qualities of so called Govt. officials are deteriorating day by day due to political integration. more
