Importance of instructions on pouch packing and labels

Though all ready to eat foods or its ingredients come in pouches and in bottles with clear instructions, most of us are ignorant and the food processing companies also don't stress the importance when selling or in advertisements or at least highlight
Normally all pouches it i mentioned 'for single use only' in very illegible and non readable small letters. This means once the pouch is opened it has to be consumed in single use.It cannot be left open and re-used at a latter date. There may be some inherent elements (even in a single product like Turmeric powder) like fat content and sodium, which when left to open air, may start to decompose or turn into harmful ground for bacterial growth. As can be seen in the attached photo of a plain 100 gm coriander powder, it can be seen it contains 10.48 gm of total fat. Instead the companies,a s part of promotional tactic highlight the nutritional information more. More awareness and understanding is required when consuming packed foods, spices and ingredients. This applies to all packed foods irrespective of brands more

The important instructions in any pouch or in packets are not legible. For the price of the product is also not visible to naked eye. Let government gives some instruction in this regard. more
From times immemorial, an average citizen is aware of how to store consumables except perhaps lower strata of society, whose hygiene is questionable and unfortunately may be forming a good percentage of population. I feel that most if not all participants in local circles don't form that part of the populace and guess this forum is not the right medium to educate them. more
More than 50% of consumables are produced by un-organized sector who rarely bother about quality, cleanliness and safety warnings. India has got huge population and as such the consumption of every item is massive. The cheapest products irrespective of the quality are the most sought after. The FASSAI/Health Departments/Food Regulators must check and test the quality of every consumable at the manufacturing stage and at the retail stores to ensure that the rules and instructions are fully followed before the products reach the consumers. The corrupt and lax officials be removed from service regularly. more
I support he is correct should be printed in bold more
i support Mr Sheriff in saying that if it is harmful then it has to be printed in bold and visible and not in small letters. One cannot generalise if something is done in gujarat will be done all across India so in the interest of larger community whoever uses the above type of package as shown need to be made aware of .Loose quantities when people buy from local kirana stores may not be subjected to the same since they will try to consume them at the earliest. Branded products are packed and is also expensive when compared to what is available in kirana stores to cover the overheads like processing/packing etc hence people need to know what is harmful to them and it is a type of educating common people to take care to create awareness more
