1. Mock emergency drills should be scheduled involving RWAs and offices of Delhi Police, Traffic and SDM
2. Delhi Disaster Management Authority should do demonstration in institutions and office buildings
3. Administration related to Disaster Management in Delhi should connect with citizens via Railways local circle of Emergency Readiness circle of Delhi
4. Create awareness by imparting relevant training to prepare the community to face disasters
5. A community called Civil Defence Corps could be called on to take action on this
6. Students should be trained on disaster readiness in schools and colleges
7. Quick Response Teams should be made to act in case of a disaster
8. RWAs should delegate a small team to act quickly in case of a disaster
9. All the future construction plans should not be approved without an earthquake resistance plan
10. Fire alarms should be installed in all commercial and residential buildings
11. Over grown trees should be pruned
12. Tilted electricity poles should be immediately repaired
13. A structural checking to be carried out by authenticated civil engineering bodies in all multi story buildings in Delhi and provide a NOC which can be due for every 3 year renewal more

BJP/Congress inviting their doom's day by trying to tarnish AK/AAP image in paid channels since dawn to dusk. In this manner they r spoiling their image further. Earlier by doing such mischiefs against AK/AAP before Delhi assembly polls, Cong was reduced to zero & BJP near zero(03/70)by Delhi voters. Worst awaiting in the ensuing polls in different states. In Delhi assembly polls Cong stalwart Sarmishtha Mukherji, now appearing in TV debates & speaking ill of AAP, & Ajay Makan appearing in paid TV channels & trying to tarnish AK/AAP party's image, has forgotten that both of them lost their deposits at the hands of Delhi voters. All professional are worried that given chaotic construction in Delhi, damage in case of earthquake would be huge. A door to door survey of all properties is a must. 1. The properties more than 15 m. height in all plotted residential colonies, should be declared dangerous. 2. All constructions residential / commercial more than 10 yrs old should be required to be checked by a registered structural enginner on a fixed scale of fee. The Structural engineer should be free to submit hs independent finding to goverment if the construction is outright dangerous. He may also suggest retrofit measures to strengthen the construction. 3. All construction less than 10 yrs old should submit their structural drawings for record to goverment agencies. They should be allowed to do retrofitting without any punitive measures if required. 4. For colonies where plans have not been sanctioned / past unauthorised colonies, surveys must be done on government cost by professsionals. The report must be shared with the occupants. They must be made aware of the danger and should be advised retrofit if needed. more

1. All hospital should be computerized with their in-patient and out-parient capacity in case of emergency clearly outlined. So that patients do not not have to be rushed from one hospital to other as it happens so often. The co-ordinating team should be able to see exact postion of all hospitals and direct patients to them. 2. Drones / Helicopter squad should be immediately created to airlift people from any area and send them to hospitals. Given notorius jams of Delhi, medical help can be very late for needy people if caught in a jam. 3. Disaster response teams with registered volunteers should be set up in all colonies. more

FIFTY PERCENT OF DELHI HOUSES AND PEOPLE WILL SUFFER SERIOUS CONSEQUENCES IF A EARTH QUACK OF SEVEN OR MORE HITS NCR. ALL OLD BUILDINGS AND NARROW LANES OF OLD DELHI NEED THOROUGH INSPECTION AND URGENT CORRECTIVE STEPS NEED TO BE TAKEN TO STRENGTHEN THE SICK BUILDINGS. PEOPLE OF THE AREAS NEED TO TAKE INITIATIVES TO SAVE THEMSELVES AND THEIR PROPERTIES. IN THE SAME WAY THE TRANS YAMUNA COLONIES SETTLED ON SANDY SOIL ARE IN MASSIVE DANGER DURING THE EARTH QUAKE. SUCH TYPE OF SOIL BEHAVES AS FLUID (WATER) DURING THE SHAKING CAUSED BY EARTHQUAKE AND LIKELY TO FACE DAMAGE AND DEMOLITION. THE DAMAGE AND LOSS TO LIFE AND PROPERTY WILL BE MASSIVE AND GOVERNMENT WILL FIND IT HARD TO MANAGE THE TRAGEDY. DELHI GOVERNMENT AND RWAs OF THE AREAS SHOULD TAKE URGENT NECESSARY ACTION TO REDUCE THE POSSIBLE THREAT TO LIFE AND PROPERTY. HELP OF EARTH QUAKE ENGINEERS SHOULD BE TAKEN TO MEASURE AND ACCESS THE POSSIBLE DANGER AND WEAK SPOTS AND TAKE CORRECTIVE STEPS. IIT ROORKEE HAS DESIGNED A MACHINE TO MEASURE THE WEAK AREAS OF BUILDINGS BY GIVING CONTROLLED VIBRATIONS TO THE STRUCTURES. ALL NEW BUILDINGS SHOULD BE CONSTRUCTED AND APPROVED WITH STRICT SAFETY NORMS AGAINST THE DAMAGES DUE TO EARTH QUAKES. PILE FOUNDATIONS SHOULD BE MANDATORY FOR TALL BUILDINGS.
