Improving Environment with standards
Plastic bags less than 50 microns should not even have a standard and it should be illegal (5 crore or some very high fine or business sealed permanently) if anyone is found engaging in manufacturing or distributing these bags. Can BIS take the standard off? Or have a mandatory standard that says if u are making plastic bag it has to be above 50 micron. Thoughts from friends and experts?

The companies producing plastic bags less than 50 microns should be closed so that such materials should not arrive in the market.

if standard is not there then people will escape saying that there is no std and will use it for anything.Ideally std should be there and in that it should be mentioned saying that it should not allowed to be manufactured in india
