in emergency how can we have access to blood donated if needed

In the UK, the hospital arranges blood for the needy patients.Unfortunately, in India it is the attendants of the patient who have to arrange the blood. This is the stupid democracy in which we are living even after 68 years of independence. There is no let up in the exploitation and fleecing of patients by the doctors. The Health Ministry too has taken no interest in providing international standard of medical facilities to citizens. We do not yet have the likes of the NHS that exists in the UK and first class health service is provided free to all UK citizens.In India, Doctors take salary from the govt. and still do private practice, not to mention many other malpractices. It is an organised loot. There is such a simple solution to the problem of blood. A national register of blood donors may be created at the village / city / district / state and country level. People from the armed forces, police, all MPs,all MLAs; all Ministers, all officers and employees in govt. jobs, all PSUs, private sectors etc. may be roped in to build a "National Blood Donation Register". And whenever there is need for blood, an SMS may be sent to the persons in the locality concerned and invited for blood donation.I am sure many will volunteer to donate blood and the problem will be eased. Only a little imagination ad initiative by the govt. is required. The National Blood Donation Register may also be made available on the web-site of the Ministry of Health for benefit of the needy patients who may choose their donors. Unfortunately, we are not creative! We do not follow the Japanese concept of "KAIZEN" , meaning continual improvement. The only area where we show innovation and creativity is scams!2G scam; coal block scam; land allocation scam etc. etc.!!! If you contact any blood bank, they will tell you to arrange donors.If you ask them for the names and addresses of possible volunteers, they will say they do not have.I have gone through this circus and know how harrowing this experience is. We are truly living in a very uncivilised and crude society that does not know how to make simplify life and make it easy for all. No wonder, no foreigner wishes to invest in India.Reams of paperwork makes them faint with exhaustion. more  

You/friends donate blood to the bank and they will provide your wife the same no. of units more
