incapability of people in power
Beside the incapability of people in power have care-less attitude. The city drains are clogged, people concerned do not do their job & get paid. Government is their for doing politics and blaming others. Moreover storm drains were laid out by contractors haphazardly without any technical supervision. Either they did not know the technicalities of laying & connecting such huge storm water drain pipes or care-less attitude. Also there were no supervision from during the laying/connecting the drain pipes from Government dept. So there are no way out for drain water and city gets inundated in one hrs. rain.

We have only Govt in India and no governance. Govt just extracts taxes but gives back little in return. Our govt sector has failed miserably to deliver because of corruption a,d inefficiency. We only claim big things but achieve nothing. World looks down upon us due to poor infrastructure and non governance . At this rate we are going to be in a very difficult state in future. more

Very rightly said. India is developing country but drain systems are very important and our highly qualified politicians and their link contracter are really unsuccessful in draining system.. more

The drains are not only badly laid, they are silred and clogged even during construction. They aren't connected to proper outlets. Half of the cities garbage finds its way in drains. Year after huge sums are pocketed by shameless, politicians, contractors and officials in the name of cleaning the drains resulting in water logging that in turns results in potholed roads. Imagine the costs and troubles the taxpayer has to bear. more
