Incentives Needed for Non-Ferrous Metals and Other Recycling in the Country
Dear Members of the Circles,
This is to share my experience with various schemes of Ministry of MSME. Two years back, when I was in the process of setting up a unit in recycling space, I approached MSME-Development Centre at Karnal for any possible incentive for an entrepreneur in metal recycling space. To my dismay, there was no scheme for metals except Ferrous.
Dear Friends, Ferrous is already a well established business. Now, we need to work on non-ferrous metals and plastics as well. Rather, recycling industries in general should be included in MSME list of industry coverage as the first step.

Hmmm.... I didn't know about this. Thanks for the info. Whatever possible, including paper and water, should be recycled. Hope the situation improves soon and all materials are treated at par (considering viability and cost)! :) I hope your point gets noted! :) more

Sir, all the metals and other metals are being recycled but problem is for incentives purposes Govt. (MSME) recognises only Ferrous. May be because of strong lobbying by them. more

So what happens to the scrap aluminium, copper etc.? Aren't they already getting recycled? Are you talking about precious metals like gold and silver in electronic waste? more
