currently this is largely prevalent in the assessment of individuals and realty development.this corruption is also due to the fact that the assessee also seeks favours from the department as they are themselves rooted in corruption.

While discussing on corruptions, particularly, in the Income Tax Department, the officials of the department are always accused of demanding bribes from the assessees, which is only half truth. If the income is honestly declared and the return is prepared and submitted truthfully, I think there will be no occasion for demanding and payment of bribes., though, there may be some exceptions. In such an ideal situation, even generation of black money could have become to standstill. But the situation prevailing in the country is just reverse. Large number of our people do have the tendency of hiding their actual income and to get their tax returns cleared by the departments concerned by hook or crook and then blaming the people of these departments for asking for bribes. The black money so generated by evading tax payment is generally used in immoral ways and in benami transactions, which even inflate the prices, particularly, in real estate transactions & prices. more

Corruption is spirally increasing. Solution is in our hands. Our Heros did not bow down before Britishers and preferred to go to gallows.We should also pledge, not to compromise with corruption but prefer to bear delay and inconveniences. Go on putting efforts without tension and anger till one succeeds. more

MOST OF THE ILLUSTRATIONS QUOTED BY THE VARIOUS MEMBERS OF THIS GROUP ARE ALREADY KNOWN TO THE common men and all others responsible to eradicate or check and control the deep rooted corruption in our Nation. I don`t think any amount of words or pursuing may bring any change in the cruel and unfortunate situation. Our writing goes like much ado about nothing and abandoned further appealing to the readers. Some times I feel our country is happy to present conditions or they have accepted it under compulsion to live here. more

The Income Tax department is closely associated with allowing concession to the business community, by not re-examining their records and accepting, what ever they are submitting, may be due to some underhand dealings. more

For individual assessment cases, the Income-tax officials will get just peanuts but in case of SMEs and Corporate cases, they get almonds. The bribe amount runs into crores. The Govt. should focus on controlling corruption in all categories as 3 crore people are sucking the life blood of 133 crore Indians. more
