Income Tax department?

Why email id itro@sbi.co.in does not respond? I have sent them 5 reminders since 31/05/2013 and still no response. This email id is meant for seeking status of Income Tax refund for AY 2012-13. The online status shows refund through ECS on 26th May 2013 but the same has not been credited yet. Their toll free number also seems to be useless. Even a mail id refunds@incometaxindia.gov.in has not been of any help.

AK is ex-Income Tax Department. May be he or his close associate could comment on the issue.

Is there something beyond? more

Dear Mr. Om Prakash Mahotra Ji, Thanks for your comments. My mobile number is registered with all Banks wherever I have got account. It is registered with Income Tax. I get all alerts. An alert was received from Income Tax of having processed my refund on 26/06/2013 through ECS. Online status also says same thing. Assessment is complete showing refund approval. Referring to the comments of Mr. Satyendra Kumar, I feel once a facility of eco-friendly has been provided by the Govt by spending huge money. We need to ensure that infrastructure is best used and this stand I had taken when Municipal Corporation advised me to visit their office and register my complaint in their register. I refused to visit office to register complaint on the pretext that when the facility of online complaint is provided why should a citizen visit the office personally. I am glad to share that the complaint was redressed satisfactory. more

I have similar experience.Eemployees working at CPC income tax Banglore dont check/validate details of TDS from FORM 26AS and send Demand order.On filing rectification again they proceed halfway and again send new Demand Order.My ITR for 2012-13 is yet to be finalised.I am of strong view of raising it with CBDT direct.It is not understandable why CPC Banglore is unable to navigate their own data base including form 26AS My PAN is AAQPM6571l.I request AAP party to raise this issue with CPC from their end.My membership no.
