Inconsistent numbers, no standards for data collection

Attached article talks about how the covid numbers presented are inconsistent. Even after 6 months of the first lockdown, it is just meaningless numbers. Each state having its own format, some publish on websites some on twitter (!!!), Some send to icmr. Icmr has half baked numbers. No analysis of what these numbers tell. And comparing these across states is lije comparing banana and potato.
The question arises, how much has been spent by the govts and individuals for tests, results, medicines etc. And how much "richer" have the "stakeholders" become ?
For there is no accountability or audit of the inflows and outflows. And states are merrily testing and testing and testing.... without a thought of when to stop. more

Everything is in mess, no proper system and nothing. You cant expect a proper governance and system in place unless and until u have co-ordination among Media, Executives, Legislature and Judicial system. That,s why no consistency in data of Covid etc more
Please explain to me the importance of these numbers "rare" "well done" or "burnt" to a citizen? Is their a competition? Do the state get a better financial aid from the Central Govt"? All these data are cooked up and to fill the space in the news paper, If few thousand people die will it bring up the economy? Do a citizen get any help? Only "stupid idiots" want to know how many died, recovered, in hospital, or roaming around among us. This is the last response to all those who post other's garbage in to this sacred space. Do, any of you have a solution to the problem. Then say it here with responsibility. more
This happens when states are not given any standard procedure to follow. You will have chaos when top authorities are clueless. more
