Incorrect information through NTES

National Train Enquiry System (NTES) is meant to supply information regarding running status of trains in real time. My son travelled by 12772 Nagpur-Secunderabad superfast on Oct 27 night. It was meant to reach its destination at 8.35 am on Oct 28. When I enquired on NTES through my mobile at around 9.15 am on Oct 28, it was clearly mentioned that the train reached its destination 9 minutes late at 8.34am. However, when I called up my son, he was still in the train at 9.22am and quite far from Secunderabad. The train finally reached its destination around 10 am, more than one and half hours late. NTES is still showing it reached nine minutes late. Is it deliberate fudging of records to show improved punctuality? I'd like to know experience of others. more
