Increasing Price of Amul Butter

Amul keeps increasing its price of butter every 2-3 months. Though there is an abundance of milk, it does not reflect with Amul. They spend a lot of money on advertisements which is passed on to customers like me.
Just for information, the price of the Amul butter is Dirhams 12.96 in Carrefour supermarket in Dubai. That translates to INR 246 ( approx.) whereas we purchase it in Mumbai for INR 225. So, in just Rs 20/- ( or in Dhs 1.100) a 500 gms slab of butter is transported to UAE and sold in the market!
The Consumer Affairs Dept should look into this arbitrary pricing. more

I buy a pack of Amul Butter 500gms every month & the price is increased by 10-12 rupees after very month or two. Amul is increasing the prices of almost all of its products as they are aware of the demand and the monopoly they enjoy in the Indian Market. Every other food vendor charges extra if they use Amul Butter. People also solicit it so much that there will be no stopping of exorbitant profiteering carried out by AMUL. more
Amul revise the prices of its products upwards every six months though there is no point in accusing Amul only as other players are also not lagging behind. In fact our regulatory bodies if in existence have utterly failed in recording their presence in the field. more
I agree. Mr Katiyar is an employee or a supplier to Amul. Profiteering has to be moderate. more
Mr Katiyar, either you don't understand the spirit of what is written or you an employee/supplier to Amul... more
