increasing the size of the compartments
With the ever increasing population and demand for public transport, that too railways, it is high time that we compare the size of the coaches of the European countries. The size of the coaches if increased will enable
1. More room if increased width wise
2. More capacity if increased lengthwise.
3. Better and bigger toilets to enable hygienic setup.
With the increase in FDI in t he country, these may be fruitfully used to upgrade the existing railway sys vis a vis increasing more luxury trains. this will directly contribute to rail safety and better travelling conditions having direct implications on the following
1. Tourism.
2. Railway industry. 3. Overall economy ..to name a few more

There are inherent weakness like design of Railtracks, manufacturing adequate bogies at a reasonable cost. nevertheless at least a thought process can be initiated. Length wise possible in certain routes. more

There are tunnels on the way so difficult to increase width many places,length can be increased but how much feasible or not increase of boggies possible but limited for a long standing gains 4 tracks are important,running of many trains possible but to a limitation so I think track be increased which should be a vision in past but future be explored that is a good vision. more
