Main problem with use of public toilets is its odour. It stinks like hell. more
More number of toilets are required at public places with sufficient water supply. more
No. of toilets and the publicity for the usage of them are insufficient in our country. Along with the wide publicity for the necessity of the use is utmost necessary. But maintenance with sufficient water is also absolute necessary. In our country some states the usage is chargeable. The collection of money / loot from the public should be avoided more
All the public toilets should be maintained by the municipalities and ambience developed like park to make the place desirable, clean and odourless. There should not be any fees for the use of toilets. It should be free and inviting. more
It has been observed that People urinate/defecate in and around the public toilets and at places not meant for the purpose or do not flush, thereby making the the toilets further unusable. This needs to be monitored and such people need to be suitably advised/penalised depending on the situation. For initial period of a few months, extensive campaigning/ public education need to be in place. more
