Inda global hub for Online Child Abuse

Of the 2.44 Million cases reported globally in 2017, 2.4 million were reported in India. 80% of them were girls.

Because it has become so easier for perpetrrators to make contact with children using whatsapp etc share pictures and the messages are encrypted law enforcement is struggling to catch them.

LocalCircles should take up this subject. Atleast it should create awareness so someone in Govt starts owning the problem. more

When an anti social item is easily accessible, its consumption goes up. Warning/scolding children (consumers) will not be of much help. The Govt. should ban such things effectively. Merely passing orders will not work. more
How Local Circles could create awareness when the plat form is not accessible by the common people without becoming a member. Be specific. About 60% times of our each TV programme and more than 70% space of print media (news papers) are being used for advertisement. Government should make it mandatory for them to flash/print suitable cautions designed by the concerned authority in the beginning/front page as well as during every break of programme/each page of the news papers in BOLD LETTERS. As in the case of automobiles, some restrictions can also be stipulated as far as the minimum age is concerned for an individuals for owning and handling mobile phones. Mobile phones are not only exposing risks of the kind referred to herein but it has also been proved to creating serious health hazards. Let the government come forward in the matter and stipulate guidelines for the parents to compulsorily follow. As hither to, the parents who are not inclined to follow such guidelines should blame themselves for any misadventure and health hazards with their children like increased instances of fatal auto accidents causing untimely death to large number of young and under aged children. more
parents and in schools children must be warned and educated about the credibility of news through social media apps which can mislead them and strict action need to be taken on the perpetuators of the same more
Root causes are Parents, TVs, Private, Hostel Education and imitations more
All governments including local bodies should educate children in schools regarding abuses and how to avoid them. Parents do not spend much time with children, let alone advise them more
