I actually wonder if people in positions responsible for action towards Swach Bharat are even aware that there is some Swach Bharat campaign On. Appears the subject is just being discussed in various forums/ media. I spent a month in Port Blair, a small town, and found it filthier than what it used to be before the campaign. Do not see much improvement in Chandigarh either which can be made a model city because of its size and aware population. The initiative has to be taken by the authorities made responsible for it. more

There are apps (in Bangalore) to log issues. However, this is a one way traffic. Citizens log the issues, but the civic authorities do not respond. They blame the contractors. How much of cleaning can we also do? The local councillors, corporators, MLAs are never to be seen. They are paid to maintain the localities and take up issues. They need to walk the streets to find out where the stink and take action. more
