India at 75 report

Here i went into the details of the LocalCircles report. The Economic Times people have painted a somewhat rosy picture and chosen to not carry the Covid poll.

While I believe PM taking a stand on corruption is really good because it means issues we raise will find action.

Covid however needs to be paid attention to. If 36% people are saying that covid will lead to long term health issues then why wasnt it in PMs talk. Are we unprepared as a nation

Why the Census is being delayed? Even there is no plan in 2022 for Census. Census is one of the important factor for Planning activities. Hopefully by 2023 we will have next Census. more
National Sample Survey Organisation's demographic report hugely overdue too, pending accounting India's population. Without data that keeps the score, qualitatively one could say country doing so well, but will that be really true or biassed, when statistics show India, as they did during pandemic, unfavourably - deaths from COVID were many times over, undercounted! Goverment wants good appearances, but we need good governance too. Conflicting interests they. Before the mass vaccinations, his led to, with high spending on treatment, medical poverty. Vaccinations saved us. more
Yes, India at 75 has achieved many goals, such as Swacchhata Abhiyan, Ujjwala Yojana, and so on. But PM could have carried out the decennial population census in 2021 or even 2022, as an attention directing exercise, to gather the relevant information on which other statistics too rely, which this government did not. Census was last carried out 11 years back in 2011, wherein we were almost 1.39 billion people. Every 3 seconds 2 people are added to our population! We are already over 140 crores even though you hear leaders counting us at 130 crores! Quantitative analysis possible only when data gets updated! Data in this case outdated by over a decade! Poor getting the effect thereof, with more facing feeding requirements! Middle class or rich or even may feel okay, as poll indicates, with qualitative analysis. more
Why should the PM discuss on the epidemic during his speech to the nation on the occasion of independence day, that too when the disease is at its lowest ebb! Wouldn't it help in spreading fear psychosis in people's mind a fresh? more
No PM can reduce the side effects of any life taking disease. Public should take all possible precautions as per covid protocol. more
