India COVID 19 situation looks difficult

India's total COVID19 numbers surpassed 9 lakh numbers and reached 906752

Look at the trajectory

First 3 lakh cases: 134 days (30 Jan to 12 Jun)

Second 3 lakh cases: 20 days (12 Jun to 1 Jul)

Third 3 lakh cases: 13 days (1 Jul to 13 Jul)

Our overall positivity is now 7.5%, or each 13 tests return one COVID19 case.

More worrying factor is yesterday's daily positivity is 10% or each 10 tests return 1 positive case.

We increased the daily testing numbers to 2.86 lakh plus, but there is no fall in positivity

So far India has tested 1.20 crore tests, exact number is 1,20,92,503.

That means we are now conducting 8.98 tests per 1000 people of our population.

If you think this number is high?

USA - 121.70
Russia - 159.61
Canada - 85.13
Australia - 118.49
Iran - 21.79
Saudi Arabia - 66.86 more

We cant afford like Russia,USA,Australia . This itself is done mostly judiciously on on target groups, contacts . In addition all health workers from doctors to the last grade and the police & security must undergo lesy they spread. Chennai & Delhi people seem to have realized a bit ond are serious a out the norms . That has reflected in downward trend in cases ,though the Testing rate is high . more
If correct , it is serious more
How accurate are the test results? Meaning what percentage of the tests are false positives or false negatives? more
