India Mutant is here

NIV, Pune data today says Double Mutant B 1.617 (E484Q + L452R) is in 60% samples genome sequenced from Jan-March 2021 in Maharashtra. We need to track mutations real time or else we will just be chasing this forever.

Who are India’s experts who are supposed to be guiding us. Anyone? No wonder the confidence people have in them is low as per below.

We are paying taxes so Govt looks after these things not just turn to people again for everything. Why were the genomics experts of India not on top of this since january? Who will reimburse for lives lost? Who will addresss those families whose bread earner is gone because of covid and because India’s scientists werent on top of this thing. more

But if a person commits a crime he is booked, right. So if the government was strict enough from the beginning we would not be in this situation. Right? When the first wave was discovered in Britain, we begged the government not to allow flights into India. But they were too hasty. Now the Indian Express says that 290 people who came from abroad were infected with the virus when the flights arrived. Is this not a gross violation of the Indian people's rights. To allow them to get infected. The government, scientists, police force and municipalities are the ones to blame! more
All viruses mutate. It is being monitored. Within a short time, it is not easy to come to know as to how it behaves and how to handle it. Vaccination process will be ongoing for another year to enable herd immunity. No vaccination is 100% effective and one can get covid in spite of taking it. The well-known actions required for all forms of Covid is to properly wear the mask, keep social distancing, hand washing, keep away from crowded places, avoid enclosed spaces especially with more people, keep ventilation open, etc. more
Sir,most of the people do not bother about safety precautions.Govt.is trying hard but people doesn't obey. What to do?Strict and sturn action is required to be taken by the government in such cases. more
