Indian ACs failing miserably during heatwave

I saw attached headline LocalCircles article in Economic Times on our survey on how ACs in Delhi NCR failed to work during heatwave.

https://www.localcircles.com/a/press/page/air-conditioner-survey

As stated in the official LocalCircles report, this is a product incapability or defect issue and BIS must summon all these companies who make these ACs that fail above 42 degree centigrade.

Why as a a consumer I was not informed when buying these ac that they wont work at 45 degree.

This needs to be a class action suit from CCPA on these manufacturers. Fine them summon them, let them explain. more

Indeed remeber the scarry nights when AC simply stopped with grudging sound in hot nights ( day in office) and subsequent unpleasant situation. But we also keep in mind that these are like war time situation when nothing works normally. Now matter needs introspect and review and companies to pay attention to new normal days of heat waves. more
Companies cheat with indian customers . more
India should now only manufacture ACs that can work at 54 degrees like they have in the Middle East countries. They cost 40% more. I have General Airconditioner that worked in 47 degree heat very well but it cost a lot more. more
Yes, it's very true that Air-conditioners failed to work during the heatwave. Compressor was unable to bear the pressure. Perhaps the manufacturers & suppliers may have to think to redesign the compressor & other important tools to improve performance. Govt. also should think why such heatwave was observed in this year across the country and UV Index was used to be severe. It's high time to introspect to protect nature and human lives. more
This is the truth. Class action should be do be done more
