INDIAN ECONOMY INDIAN ECONOMY AND JOB CREATION TO SHOOT UP

INDIAN ECONOMY INDIAN ECONOMY AND JOB CREATION TO SHOOT UP POST 20 MONTH PERID OF PANDEMIC AFTER RESUMING RAIL SERVICES TO PRE- COVID LEVELS:
IT IS ALSO GOOD NEWS TO THE PUBLIC IN GENERAL, AND IN PARTICULAR FOR THE CHILDREN, PROFESSIONALS WHY EVEN THE SENIORS.

Of course not all Rail Travelers are not business like & stiff-necked. There are Children who feel let free and enjoy the outing, yet some like to see the scenery like village side, geographic locations and so on.

AND DO NOT FORGET THE OLDIES, RICH OR POOR WHO LONG TO VISIT A TOWN WHERE THEIR CHILDREN LIVE. THE SIDE ATTRACTION IS TO VISIT A RELATIVE OR 2 OR FRIENDS IN THAT TOWN TOO.
THIS WILL INCREASE THE OCCUPANY RATES ON WEEKDAYS

A few changes have been made which presents a mixed bag. Some are more acceptable and most welcome. Some may not be received with the same spirit. Let us start from the ones that may be welcome:
i)Not providing Linen from the COVID period to continue. – Covid was one highly transmissible dangerous virus infection. To continue the system will be good not only for COVID, also for so many other infections , Viral, Bacterial, and skin infections – So Bring your own Linen, don’t blame the Railways. – THAT IS TO AVOID THE INNUMERABLE COMPLLAINTS WE MADE ABOUT THE QUALITY & CLEANLINESS OF THE LINNEN. – BUT RAILWAYS TO MAKE SURE THAT THE BERTHS AND COMPARTMENTS INCLUDING THE TOILETS BASINS ARE CLEANED, DISINFECTED WELL NOW, NOT AS BEFORE COVID PERIOD.

ii) Each Zonal Railways is directed to make its own arrangements. This means decentralization. This will be most welcome by the regional states. The number of complaints from the Customers will come down drastically.
Now some tinkering for the newly proposed changes :
i) What is the need for Categorizing the trains as special and Re - renumber? As it is we have Categorized the trains into Express, Passenger .Shatabdi, Rajdhani, Duranto etc. all give expected increase in revenue. Why add more? – IT IS PERFECTLY OKAY TO HAVE HOLIDAY SPECIAL, FESTIVAL SPECIAL, PILGRIMAGE SPECIAL AND CHARGE.

ii) It is also on the cards to remove Senior Citizen Concession. All senior Citizens can not be categorized together. There are lots and lots of Senior Citizens who do not have pension, very meagre savings or no savings at all, without employment to give them something for their sustenance. Who do they depend on – only on the children whom they brought up. There are children and children, some really feel happy to support their aged Parents traveling. NOT ALL. Even the Parents of the supporting children feel guilty when their children are ready to spend. THERE EVEN A SMALL CONCESSON EVEN 20% WILL GO A LONG WAY. BUT NEVER NEVER KEEP INCREASING THE CONCESSION FOR ELECTION BENEFITS – THE OPPOSITION ALSO. more

I think Govt has decided to withdraw most of the Benefits given to Senior Citizens. With the results their Hardships are increasing day by day. We are approximately 13 Crore Senior Citizens out of 94 Crore Voters. That is about 14%. We should use this thru Politicians or thru Media to let Govt know our Voting Strength. UP election is the live example to use this. Better Awake. more
Railways provide a mini microcosm of India's economic health , transporting crores of people, when metro rail is included, across the nation, every day, along with freight just as much, and therefore must synchronise economies of scale and scope they engender. Metrics from railways reflect how the nation has revived after the pandemic. Better that the concession earlier given, but with improved cleanliness measures, be revived. Commuter will certainly act responsibly given the lessons learnt during the pandemic, to justify concessions. more
Cleanliness and hygiene in compartments is a must. No crowding in trains (remove the "unreserved" tickets and allocate seat number to every passenger). Karnataka state road transport corporation has brought about a rule that any passenger talking on the mobile or watching video without headsets in mobile or other devices will be deboarded. Same should be done in railways. more
Video watching can be banned, but not talking on the phone. Vry few have developed the habit of messaging for exchange of information. All want their voices heare. more
With the increase in life expectance, a person should be considered as a senior citizen at the age of 70 years. All facilities/concessions/privileges may be extended to him with same logics that were applied to a person at the age of 60 years. This would give more respectability to Senior citizens and better compliance of privileges to them. more
