Indian Railway & Airlines

Indian Railway (Bapu Ni Gaddi) has learned to change fair from so-called No Frill Airlines. No frill airlines are charging fair depending on demand. Today the Air Ticket from Ahmedabad to Mumbai on 11th February is around Rs. 10000.00. Learning from such no frill airlines, Airlines such as Jet, Air India stopped good breakfast & gives small Veg sandwich no Tea no coffee.
Now our national lifeline Trains which is used by all & especially by poor can not be forced to pay fares depending on demand.
Hon. Rail Mantri talks only about low fair when demand is low. What about when demand is High ? more

Such surge pricing has the blessings of the government. In fact they are the one initiated such pricing thus squeezing the poor & middle class who have no alternative. As for the Airfare is concerned duties levied by the state & central govt are much much more than the basic fare per ticket and the sector. Airfare also MUST be brought under GST even at the max of 28% still the cost would be affordableby the common man. Surge pricing in Railway ticket is unethical, unjustified and also unwarranted. We must raise our voice against such practices. more
It is like sabji mandi. When the production is hit, there is increase in price .Take the opportunity to make profit and forget about the price protection for farmers. Why can't railway fix the maximum ceiling for price surge ? more
It is Demand and Supply theory, commercially correct, socially and ethically ??????? more
