Thanks Mr. Vyas, It high time to sponsor Indian Rail Roads, Coach and Locomotive Design, Plate Form and Transit Design, Remote and Real-time Security, Operations, Movement Control and Monitoring to Indian institutions of repute like IIM's, IIT's, IIS, NID's. This is necessary and need of the hour to cope with high pace technology development leads of even small economy countries like Korea, Japan and Germany. If Indians want to survive from international threats than India and it's Governance has to wake up and act. more
You are 100% correct. RDSO? Have any research papers been published by the designers in that organization which is so called Research Design and Standards organization. Designs are age old and need to be seriously looked into. Till date Railway has not been able to implement ACD which probably has been designed by a person outside RDSO. You travel a length on Indian Railway and will find that every platform on the route is constructed with different standards. So what kind of standards Railway is following is not known. I too strongly is of the opinion that Railway now need professionals and researchers from reputed institutions like IITs, IIMs or other third party experts for total revamp and adoption of state of the art technology if we are aiming towards World Class category. By simply spreading the network to thousands of kilometers, running n number of trains or moving millions of passengers does not really qualify to be world class. Even after heavy loss of life due to fire incidents, Railway has not been able to provide simple fire extinguishing system in the coaches which should have one of the top priorities for the coach designers. more
Facts and realities are now visible to most Indians on Indian Railway's development claims on Coach Design, Platform Design, Security Surveillance and Rail Road Automation Technology, Accident Control and Disaster Management. The country has lost faith in British Designed these out dated institutions and requires to shift to real centers task research and solution providers of technology and operations. Resourcing and purchasing out-dated technology and products in the name of India's development is a 'Modern Type of Economic Slavery'. more
Welcome Mr.Gola, IITs and IIMs will definitely make lot of difference more
