India’s Competitiveness

US is amazing at inventing advanced tech and agriculture but sucks at making boring stuff like zippers, glass, bulbs and ball bearings.

Japan and South Korea does amazing iagriculture and is good in advanced tech and boring manufacturing.

Europe is good in Agriculture and ok when it comes to invention of advanced tech and boring manufacturing.

Vietnam is ok in doing boring manufacturing but is not a big player in advanced tech.

China, as of 2025, is amazing at eveything. They are the best in boring manufacturing, they are fantastic when it comes to agriculture and are now inventing advanced tech too.

As for India. We do nothing

hard statements, but true enough. We have a culture which pays more attention to political correctness and promotes mediocrity. What else can account for the perfidious system called RESERVATIONS while in the USA, DEI is getting a strong pushback now and Affirmative Action (similar to our Reservation) is dead as a dodo?
I think it is unfair observation. There are some skills which Indians have. Otherwise they would not be CEOs of Mega Corporations and successful working in so many countries in the world. But Indian are mostly self-centric. For most Indians, the self is first, followed by one's family. The community aspect is absent. The general civic sense is low. One Indian may be equal to many, but many Indians together are a big ZERO. This has been the pitfall and this may continue.
The point is very few Indians have created large multinational conglomerates but are good enough to manage those created by others and keep the status quo. As exceptions, I can mention Zoho (Sridhar Vembu) and more recently, Perplexity AI (Aravind Srinivas) in the field of software, but they couldn't have done this had they stayed in India. India can only accept and reward mediocrity.
These countries civilians learnt their lessons the hard way , we as citizens of India never learnt any lessons even after the hardest of ways and will never learn them in future , thanks to the HARDCORE self obsessed ......... civilians of India
We believe in quantity....not quality....we are socialist
