ground water safety and related services need to be taken care by the industrialist more
The air pollution news today TOI is alarming. People who care about health must know the root cause of diseases. the underprivileged people working on the road side are vulnerable to diseases. Why ward office, local corporation office are not taking this seriously? One reason I am sure Government is not making it mandatory to follow air quality guidelines in each locality and ward and corporation offices. Other I think of is people are not aware of the issues who are dealing with garbage. Among many reasons the importance of recycling industry and incentivise these industries and allow private parties to facilitate. NGO's must be given infrastructure to do recycling. They are more committed to this cause. Why government is not adopting environment standards in this country? Why MP's fund is utilised for building infrastructure other than recycling? Answer is there are selfish interest in our system. As rightly said pollution control boards have failed to effectively implement schemes which are supposed. These are their primary job. Yet another example of ineffectiveness where most states have failed to provide clean air. Why there are no compliance standards for corporations? Why Government is not imposing ban on plastics which is hazardous? Why there are no priorities in this regard from government? No government slogan, advertisement can help here. Cleanliness and environment lessons must start from toddlers schools. When the schools have mushroomed there are no implementation guidelines from government or environment authorities. It is the government which is responsible for these failures. more
Effluent treatment is also a part of the whole process of Factory establishment. The pollution control board authorities have the onus on them to periodically check if treatment plants are working. more
