Inflating MRPs

It is not just snapdeal that is inflating MRPs on site and showing a big discount. Amazon is supporting the same act by its sellers and not taking action.

Worst part is that amazon doesnt let you post bad ratings in some cases. They are censoring user ratings which means you are at their mercy.

Dept of consumer affairs may seek other people's opinions in this circle and then take action on this.

this is misleading consumer. more

Literally, there is no controller to justify the MRP Hike in India, therefore, traders take the advantage at any time. more

I saw people selling more than mrp on trains. more
I remember buying a pair of shoes from an online store (Flipkart) a few years back. The web page was showing some discount (how much I don't remember). But when I received the item, the MRP mentioned on it was the same price I paid! more
Today, policy of any Govt. is so different, that they exploit the general public, much worse than private business enterprises. In the past, Govt policy was to serve the common man with no profit motive n also bear if loss is incurred, though aim at no profit no loss (break-even point). But in recent years, their working results always shows incurring losses, due to pilferage, inefficiency, corruption, mal-administration etc. etc. Also, bonus concept which was not applicable to any Govt. organisations, has been extended under Bonus Act, to some Govt Commercial Establishments like Railways, Public Road Transports etc. MRP was compulsorily STIPULATED during mid 70's if I am right n it was largely helpful for the consumers. But of late, though it is being quoted, normally, it is quoted very high with large margin of profit for the seller, whether to sell at MRP only or to reduce based on the market conditions n competition by a few dealers. Today, our Govts. r so unethical, that they don't even think of any constructive support for the general public, who supported for their power n position. Very unfortunate state, sorry to mention that our country will never improve, unless we public change drastically to be responsible citizens. more
