Injustice in the consumer court order!

I belong to Karimnagar and it was at the time of Mr.Rajasekhar Reddy as the CM of Andhra Pradesh, he announced "Rajiv Swagruha" project in 2006 with all amenities to be provided by 2008. Hence, we decided to buy a flat and we paid 5 Lakhs in total in 2006. However, the timelines of the project were not met and we are deciding whether to continue or not. In 2011, when we visited flats, to our shock, the project was still going on and the flooring work is yet to begin. That is when we decided to back-off and demanded refund. After several arguments, the authorities mentioned that 1.5 Lakhs will be deducted and the remaining 3.5 Lakh will be processed. We then seeked consumer court to help in 2014 and after 18 months, i.e, May 2015, the court has passed on a judgement saying "5 Lakhs has to be paid within 2 months". There was a clause missing in case they didn't pay us within 2 months. The authorities then approached State commission and somehow the case was delayed. Finally, State commission rejected their request and couldn't help and the consumer court has passed a final order to deposit the cheque. Now, still we didn't receive the cheque and still waiting. Please advise now if I can still do anything about it as we paid in 2008 & didn't earn any interest on the paid sum and my family suffered a lot during this period. more

As I understand . The case is at karimnagar which is now a district of Telangana Govt. This stand should have been clear in your statement. You should approach to the HC for payment with commercial interest on the paid amount. please check ,Telangana is having RERA authority or not. more
First, for clarity, please make your statement clear, ""5 Lakhs has to be paid within 2 months". who has to pay whom." Have you to pay to the builder, or the builder has to pay to you. If it is the builder who has to pay to you, then you have to get the order implemented under CPA. If like you, there are many other consumer complainants, then you prepare for filing a joint appeal in the National Commission (NCDRC). more
Consumer court does not have enforcement powers. File a case in High Court, they can and will pass orders favourably. more
U can go for execution of the order of the consumer court .... n if Karnataka has a RERA Act .... u can file complaint with RERA Authority ... more
I agree to Mr. Kameswara Rao. If the gov. authorities are not listening and acting on the judgement of the consumer court, You should approach the high court for redressal of your grievances. You should also claim interest on the amount for the period untill your money is refunded. If there are more victims along with you, all of you may jointly file the writ which will cost less to each individual. more
