Input Tax Credit for Citizens

I have a suggestion I want to bring up here on local circles and hope it gets picked up.

Just like businesses get input tax credit, can GST law be changed so citizens can also claim input tax credit for say up to 1 lakh rupees (requirement can be for those claiming to maintain records/receipt of the input tax credit)

I am sure mechanics can be worked out. Please share your opinions.. more

It is a good idea. The question is one should not be burdened too much. I pay direct tax and also GST. FOR WHATEVER I PAY GST I NEED EXEMPTION IN DIRECT TAXES. Or to a certain limit I need reduction in payment of direct taxes. more
