What if someone is not a business but is making a high value purchase for their residence. In that case, the GST rate is 18-28% say average 23%. and in a 6 lakh purchase, tax comes to about 1.35 lakhs. How can one get any tax benefit or there is nothing for individual tax payer? more

The end user, has to bear the brunt of all the earlier stage GST paid by the previous sellers. Our 'beloved' Prime Minister was referring only to business men when he said ' Enjoy the benefits of GST', as invariably they are sellers of raw or 'purchased and processed' materials. Hence they can claim Input Tax Credit, NOT the person who buys the materials / products / services for his personal use. more
