Income/Sales tax and the like should be totally scrapped. A person initiating a bank/card transaction should be taxed by way of General Tax. The best example is the STT on shares. The amount of tax is negligible and would not be a burden on the tax payer. Every one also be involved in nation building by payment of his share of the taxes.
If the person wants to claim benefits, he should file a return of the taxes paid against the tax amount collected from him. As all bank transactions are mapped, the authenticity of transactions would not cast any doubt on the integrity of both the receivers.
Each person not declaring his transactions would be a loss to his person.
