Thanks again for picking up the topic. Just yesterday I travelled with my dog in 1AC compartment from Chennai.thanks to the booking clerk ,who without any raising any major issue ,issued a ticket for my Dog.The only problem I faced was not able to take him out for natural needs during travel for a day which is very cruel ,but my dog did not seem to have any urge. The coach attendant was very friendly toward my dog.overall I am satisfied by the duty of the booking clerk except his unusual concern about my dogs health record, which is justified being an concerned citizen. more
It's fine , But how you Carrie, Dog must take extra care from other animals. Because house dogs only you are caring . There is much difficult. First organised some trial, and then decide . This idea gives good revenue to railways. more
There should be some concessions allotting berths for senior citizen. I am seventy was allotted berth side upper. I slept on the floor using bed sheets. Please be kind enough to S/citizens. more
I do not understand the logic of permitting dogs to be carried as luggage in upper class compartments. Train travel by upper classes is normally for better comfort and allowing taking dogs by passengers should not be permitted. The rule says that if objected to by co-passengers dogs will not be allowed! There are many things done by passengers that cause incovenience to co-passengers but the latter put up with such nuisance mostly not to create a scene. Are the Railways taking written consent from co-passengers for one person carrying a dog in the compartment or can co-passengers give a written complaint? Hence this rule is unimplementable. It causes only embarassment to the TTE who has to enforce the rule. Further after bringing the animal to the compartment if some passenger objects where will the person bringing the dog leave it in the last minute? So, the rule should be amended that dogs can be booked only in brake vans and not taken into the compartments. It appears that the existing rule was brought in during British regime to suit the whites. more
It is preferred to go into debt before making any commends in the subject/issue. not only money . more
