1. All employees get their salary and other benefits but work only when they are paid extra i.e. bribes
2. Public works tenders are given after accepting bribes
3. Roads are laid without the right amount of tar in it
4. Bribes are given to the department right from the time of giving advertisement till the completion of projects
5. Bad quality material is used to complete projects
6. Engineers are bribed to pass the low grade material for use
7. Bribes are given to get the timeline of project completion extended
8. Politicians use their influence/bribes to get contracts allotted
9. Contractor builds cost of bribery into contract pricing ultimately leading to increased cost to the Government and Tax Payer.
10. Blacklisted companies are repeatedly used because of the contractor-political-beuraucrat nexus with kickbacks at its core. more

Greed and believing that accumulating wealth and money is an indicator of success in life is one of the root cause for all evil including corruption. No one need to be a winner (indirectly make everyone fail and creates unhealthy race) but better to be an achiever who does what he likes and contributes to the growth of the society. Starting from School we teach and taught only winning and paved way for all these miseries and failures in our society. Living in a fruitful way to the betterment of society and all living beings is the best life than accumulating material satisfaction. It is very pathetic and nauseating to see all these corruption and corrupt people! more

try for loan, you have to bribe as well, when there is subsidies there is 100% corruption more

I will give an example of road work, how indirect corruption Govt or concerned engineer should make sure, there is proper provision for drainage, water, gas ,electrical and instrument( communication). other wise you will find some or other person will come and start digging road , That is not happening. I will say every one is looking for what they need today. if they group all these activities in to one contract tax payer money can be well used, other wise contractor, babus, politician will make money by splitting job like, first road, then drainage, then water line, next gas, next under ground electrical cable, and last communication cables etc more

actually how to define public work. the entire system need training. to explain a little: 1. responsible top person is SAY commissioner. he should call a. all corporate for 3 thing 1. as good U did. what good U want to do in your area only 3 things. i am sure it is difficult to write bad about self. common of such suggestions be planned first hope this will limit work improve implementation and reduce corruption more
