Instead of bullet trains spend money on existing trains

Our honourable Railway Minister announced bullet trains in budget. That is good but if we see our economy and railway resources and its condition then my suggestion is that instead of spending so much money on bullet trains railways should spend that money on our existing trains, tracks and other things like maintenance of coaches. Many times I have seen in coaches of express trains that doors of toilet are broken or there is nothing for locking from inside. Inside toilets all the things are broken like flush, window and wash basin. In A.c chair car front table or back side are broken. After all on huge expenditure if bullet trains start runnuing then its fare would be high and for common man it will not be affordable. more

more
instead of bullet trains . indian railway has to convert single tract into double track in some area. those are facing heavy traffic and unnecessarily crossings of trains. more
Bullet trains will cost Rs.200 per kilometer to construct, cost of trains and land acquisition extra. No doubt this will be a drain on our economy. http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/bengaluru/High-speed-Bluru-Chennai-rail-may-be-scrapped/articleshow/46034826.cms more
All these are better said than done. We will surely run bullet trains and drain our economy with total negligence to Indian Railways. That is where we are heading to. more
