I just did a euro trip this week .. took a 199 post paid Matrix sim valid for 15 days... they gave me a UK number. It had Rs 200 call out value @ Rs 25/min. All incoming calls/messages free. Used it in Italy/Austria/Swiss/France. other options ibclude Rs 2999/- all free /limited data pack also available for a 15 day slot more

Most countrys have pay as you go sims easily available , be sure to carry passport size picture and proof of residence for India . Libara in UK is a hot Favorite for Asian visitors , Thailand it's available at the airport as also Hongkong , Cambodia . Europe each country has its own local prepaid , SKYPE works best on Data . more

Buying local call may take time best option is matrix sim card cheap & best. more

The best option often is to get a local SIM card once you arrive at your destination. Attractive & affordable voice & data plans are mostly available. But to be sure, you can this info on google for your destination. The other option would be to take a Matrix SIM card with you. This is a far more reasonable option than using your regular SIM for international roaming for voice & data both. more
