Inviting Collective Cleanliness Case Studies

Dear all,

Now that we have over 40 constituency/city level Swachh Bharat circles, we would like you to connect with other citizens/neighbours locally and engage in collective cleanliness action.

As your circle does cleanliness initiatives, we would like for you to share the initiative and pictures with this circle. This circle will be a great cross learning platform for neighborhoods and cities to learn from each other about what worked and find solutions from each other.

Attached is the case study from Kanpur that was presented to the Minister and Secretary of Urban Development recently. It was very well received. We would like every constituency and city to be a unique case study in itself and share the work at a national level.

If we still don't have a local Swachh Bharat circle for your constituency/city yet, you are welcome to start one using Create Circle and the same can be merged to create a bigger circle later.

Keep driving cleanliness through you individual and collective actions and do share!

FIRST STEP IN THE DIRECTION OF CLEANLINESS SHOULD BE TO URGE CITIZENS NOT TO THROW WASTES IN THE OPEN. SECOND, BUT MORE IMPORTANT IS TO PROVIDE DUST BINS AND URINALS ETC AT APPROPRIATE PLACES. THIRD STEP IS TO ASK LOCAL AUTHORITIES TO GET THE FILTHY AREAS CLEANED AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE. FOURTH STEP IS TO MAKE THE KAMCHARIs ACCOUNTABLE. AAL STEPS SHOULD BE TAKEN IN QUICK SUCCESSION. RPM TRIPATHI more
First step about direction of cleanliness is 1. All information should be available at all public places like where dustbin are kept, use of dustbin for wet and dry material , detail when it will be made empty, who is responsible to clean the dustbin and its monitoring.
People wanted to leave in clean area and they also wanted to keep all area clean, if this step of information is available some drama in public place once in fortnight or once in month to keep information and awareness of how the thing are made clean, it will go to the blood of people habit. Need to keep hawkers away from public place to avoid thronging of all waste. Its not that big deal we cannot make swatch Bharat. There must be a mega cleaning day in different area to involve public participation for the mission. more
congratulations sir. more
Every Indian railway should have dustbin in each coach and garbage must be collected at every big station and empty and put back. So that it will be clean and every passenger will through garbage in dustbin only. Secondly, employment of poor people in this segment at each platform of railway. more
