This forum is doing really good discussion on important issues. But my feeling is that if we don't involve actual workers, operator in this discussion we will not able to achieve satisfactory result . 80-90 % idea we can get from actual workers regarding local practices, community culture.
Recently I am planning to give one rickshaw to our society sweeper for daily garbage collection from houses. I invited him so that we can understand what is his requirement. But it was shocked when I came to know some houses are doing good practices unknowingly like they give kitchen waste without plastic bag but our sweeper don't accept wet waste as he don't want to touch it. There is also one point His rickshaw is not compatible for wet or liquid waste. Few cleaners are pure vegetarian that's why they always give advice to house holders give it in plastic bags.
Now I am planning to modify his vehicle so that he can use it more efficiently.
Pl give me input for the vehicle so that I can incorporate it. more

Waste should be collected in segregated form. One day in a week may be fixed for garden waste & fortnightly for atala/other wastes. The main problem in indore is totally inappropriate disposal of collected garbage. The collected garbage is mostly dumped in open spaces / outside dstbins. Dustbin places are hell. It is necessary that once the garbage/waste is collected from premises , it should not be dumped on ground/dustbins but should be diectly transported to processing unit or transferred in bigger vehicle if necessary for transport economy. In this system ,there willbe no need of dustbins in streets and colonies for residents and establishments. The city should be made dustbin free. Dustbins are required at pubic paces like gardens ,bus stand etc in their premises only. more

The Indian Biogas Association (www.biogas-india.com) may be approached to get advice on what to do with wet waste. For wet waste setting up biogas plants is very useful whether at home or on a community basis. Another option is pipe composting -this is for home processing of wet waste. Now a days puja pendals are increasing for which pollution in water,noise ,current etc are increasing. So govt. should restrict in no.of pendals.Not more than than one pendals in same area.Newly ganesh pendals are coming. more
